Milan Malpensa (MXP).
The primary international airport is about 35 minutes - 1 hour from Cernobbio, Lake Como.
Private Transfer: The most comfortable option – we can recommend reliable services for door-to-door transport (pre-booking advised).
Train: From Malpensa or Linate, take a shuttle/train to Milano Centrale, then a direct train to Como San Giovanni or Varenna-Esino. From Bergamo, bus to Bergamo station then train.
Ferry: Once in Como or central towns like Bellagio/Varenna, public ferries are a scenic way to travel around the lake.
Detailed transfer recommendations will be shared on the website.
Italy is part of the Schengen Area. Citizens of many countriesL including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and EU nations may enter visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism.
We kindly recommend that all guests review the entry requirements specific to their nationality through the official Italian visa website or their local Italian consulate.
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
September in Lake Como is typically mild and pleasant, with average daytime highs of 20-24°C (68-75°F) and lows around 12-15°C (54-59°F).
Expect mostly sunny days with possible light showers – perfect for outdoor events!
Evenings can be cooler by the lake, so layers are advised.
We’re embracing different themes across the events. Please visit the Events page of this website for more details.
Outfit changes are highly recommended between the Hindu (Indian Formal Attire) and Christian (Black Tie Formal) Ceremonies. Comfortable shoes recommended for villa gardens and terraces. Avoid pure white for the Christian Ceremony.
A limited number of room blocks will be available for guests to reserve in advance. Details and booking information will be shared on this website.
We also encourage guests to explore hotels in and around Cernobbio, which offers convenient access to our venues along with beautiful lake views.
Shuttles and boat transfers will be arranged for key movements between venues and hotel. Full details will be emailed in advance. Public ferries are also a beautiful (and fun!) option for getting around.
Our menus will feature a delicious fusion of multicultural cuisine, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other options available.
Please let us know of allergies and/or dietary restrictions during the invitation RSVP process.
Extend your stay to explore! Must-dos include boat tours on the lake, visiting charming towns like Bellagio and Varenna, hiking, villa tours (Villa del Balbianello or Villa Carlotta), and enjoying local wine and gelato.
We’ll share a curated guest guide soon.
Wearing Indian clothes is absolutely not required. We want you to feel comfortable and feel like yourself! And you definitely won't look out of place! Mixing up East and West is very common.
Of course you are welcome to wear South Asian/Indian clothes for our celebration! We encourage you to take your time exploring the (many!) options. Use this page as a guide and reach out if you have questions. And feel free to mix and match across events or go fusion.
